Michael L. Brown
Mr. Michael Brown has more than 15 years experience with Oracle and Oracle eBusiness applications in development and database administration. He has taught classes ranging from Introduction to Programming to operating systems and compilers at the university level, he is an Oracle ACE, one of the founders of the AppsPerf seminar series, chair of the Database Special Interest Group of OAUG, and is past chair and a seated member of the OAUG Education Committee. He has presented more than twenty five times at industry conferences including Oracle Openworld and Collaborate. He is also a regularly invited panel member at these same conferences including the Applications Database Tuning Panel which he has been on regularly since 2001. Mr. Brown is the technical manager for Colibri as well as a practicing DBA. While working with Colibri, Mr. Brown has worked with multiple clients including Accellent (2005-2008), Navilyst Medical (2008-2011), Metromont Prestress (2005-present), and Cree Inc (2005-present).

Senior DBA involved with installation and maintenance of all Oracle database environments including Oracle Applications. Responsibilities include planning technical requirements for installation and upgrade, performance tuning, planning requirements for SAN, Oracle Applications system administration, HP-UX system administration, Linux Administration, upgrades of Oracle database and Oracle Applications, supervising one other Oracle DBA.

Responsibilities included technical lead on multi-million dollar project developing MRP system for hazardous waste incinerator, Oracle DBA, SQR3 instructor, supervising all junior consultants, supervising AIX system administrators, USoft development, G2 development, developing interface for use with RF handheld terminals.
